Beekeepers are notoriously cheap and, keeping true to that description, I don’t often buy things that could be considered luxuries. Case in point: this beautiful piece of African artistry.
My hive tools usually reside in my old beater truck, on the ground somewhere in my apiary, in the kitchen until I get hollered at, or occasionally inside one of my hives by accident. They are old, gunky, and well-treasured. I decided since they and the bees do the majority of the work, I should spoil them a little.
I must say I love this tool roll very much. The leather is supple without being broken-in, the pockets are sized just right, and it holds a LOT of stuff. The propolis color is awesome. I’m thinking of getting a second one for my bonsai tools in a different color. Hopefully I’ll stay a bit more organized now. I can dream, right?
